Overview
Why SAC matters
South Asian contemporary art, connected to European and global conversations.
Based in Amsterdam, SAC presents modern and contemporary art from South Asia and its diaspora across exhibitions, artists and public programming.
Brand facts · about the institution, not engagement results
Context
SAC Art Amsterdam has a live programme to communicate across exhibitions, artists, public programming and institutional activity, each with its own context, voice and audience.
My role is to shape and manage the digital presence around that programme, balancing strategic consistency with the individuality of each exhibition and artist.
The communications engine
A live cultural programme needs a live communications system.
- Editorial framing
Context for each show and artist
- Social media
Day-to-day publishing
- Email / MailerLite
Programme-led mailers
- Website
Programme and artist pages
- Paid support
Where relevant to reach
→ Ongoing updates as the programme evolves
The communication challenge is a double one: the gallery needs institutional consistency, while each artist, exhibition and programme needs its own context and voice. My role is to build the structure that lets both coexist without one flattening the other.
The communications system
One programme, many points of audience contact.
One exhibition
Reaching audiences through every channel
- Exhibition opens
- Content builds
- Audience engages
- Programme continues
The working range
What the work moves between, week to week.
What each service meant
The work, service by service, and what it actually meant for the brand in practice.
Strategic oversight across exhibitions, programmes, artist initiatives and wider institutional activity.
Managing the gallery’s day-to-day social presence while developing content around artists, exhibitions and programmes.
Meta advertising alongside the monthly email programme, from copy and design through campaign setup and distribution.
Development and ongoing maintenance supporting exhibitions, artists, programming and institutional communication.
Maintaining a clear institutional voice while giving each exhibition and artist room for its own context.
Where it landed
A digital presence able to move with a live cultural programme.
A communications system that can evolve with exhibitions and programming while giving each artist, show and initiative its own context and voice.
The work is not posting content. It is an ongoing communications system across editorial context, social, email, website and paid media that has to move at the pace of a live gallery programme, and hold institutional consistency while it does.
